The Rivière-à-l’Aigle property is an early-stage exploration project located in the Windfall Lake region, approximately 55 km south of the town of Chapais and 100 km east of Lebel-sur-Quévillon in Quebec. This property is situated within the Hébert pluton, characterized by tonalitic to dioritic rocks, which are sometimes gneissic in nature. The Hébert pluton lies between the Matagami-Chibougamau and Urban-Barry greenstone belts, regions known for their significant mineral potential.
In 2016, an extensive till survey was conducted on the Rivière-à-l’Aigle property, identifying three high-priority targets. These targets were subsequently followed up by three geophysical induced polarization (IP) surveys, which generated multiple drill hole and exploration targets that remain untested. A soil survey was also planned on each IP grid, with one completed, revealing promising exploration targets. An outcrop within one of these high-priority targets returned a gold value of 0.33 g/t Au, which is associated with one of the IP anomalies.
Overall, the Rivière-à-l’Aigle property presents numerous untested targets and shows strong potential for gold mineralisation. Given its strategic location near Chapais, this property is ready for further exploration and development.
