COUSINEAU

The Cousineau property is an early-stage exploration project located approximately 30 km north of the town of Ste-Anne-du-Lac and 30 km south of the Mitchi project. The property has polymetallic potential, particularly for copper, silver, and tungsten. The geological setting is characterized by contacts between granodioritic to dioritic intrusives and sedimentary sequences, marked by the growth of amphiboles and scapolite with local copper (Cu) and scheelite (W) mineralization.

Previous mapping by Noranda highlighted folded layers of calc-silicate and marble rocks, with mineralogy suggesting the presence of a copper-tungsten skarn. Notable findings include:

  • Historical grab samples of massive sulfides returning up to 11.80% Cu and 16.03 g/t Ag
  • Resampling results yielding up to 9.3% Cu, 9.5% W, 0.04% Bi and 10.5 g/t Ag
  • Grab sample in granodioritic gneiss returning 0.40% Cu
  • Dioritic rock samples containing up to 2.05% Cu with pyrite and chalcopyrite clusters

The Cousineau property, with its promising historical results and its geographic location, holds considerable polymetallic potential for further exploration and development. For more information, feel free to contact us directly.
